A HUGE Thank you!!

Image
Good Morning!   I just wanted to reach out and tell each and every one of you thank you so very much for your generous gift to Becky.  I stopped by her house over the weekend and just did a quick drop off at the front door to her husband.  She reached out to me to say thank you and was overtaken by emotion and felt a sense of relief.  We've raised $1300 so far.   It's so wonderful to see and experience the love and caring from the staff here; thank you for allowing me to be a part of that.   I will continue to collect funds for her as she is going to have to be taking a minimum of 2 weeks possibly up to 6 weeks off and I know that is going to be difficult financially without sufficient PTO so, if anyone is still wanting to make a donation it is NOT too late.  I know I set the deadline for this Friday – pay day.                    ...

Standing with Asian Americans

Image
Dear St. Anthony Residency family,   It’s been less than a year since we sent an email to all of you after the murder of George Floyd.  Today we are sending another email after the report this week of the horrible murders of 6 Asian-American women and 2 others near Atlanta.  We also know that there have been countless incidents of other aggressions towards Asian Americans, and even more during this past year of the Covid-19 pandemic.   We have many beloved members of the AAPI (Asian American/Pacific Islander) community among us - colleagues, providers, staff and patients.  We want to take a moment to acknowledge the pain they are experiencing and to express our commitment to help in any way we can.  Our words of support aren’t enough – we know we need to do more to be allies and improve our culture, even here within our walls.    While we don’t have immediate solutions, please know we take this work serio...

Time Sensitive - Becky Knutson

Image
Hello Everyone!   My apologies for the last minute email it seems things have been so hectic.  Becky Knutson is going to be admitted for surgery this Thursday the 18 th and I know I am not the only one she has touched with her generous heart.  I have witnessed her sending out sympathy and birthday cards to patients and going to the gift shop to get gifts for patients whom are coming to clinic on their birthday and she has been a great support to the staff as well.    I would really love to collect money for Becky to help her overcome this burden that blind sided her and she was unable to plan for; we all know how quickly our PTO goes; I thought it would be a nice gift to give her to allow her to feel like she can rest and take it easy with a bit of peace of mind.   I know it’s a difficult time for so many but, If you are able to even give $5; I know with so many of us we can really make a difference.  It would be difficult for...

Donate your unwanted professional accessories, tubs located in all clinics!

Hello all, I am reaching out to let you guys know about a nonprofit in Denver called Dress for Success. They “provide at-risk women with job readiness tools, professional attire and post-employment support to assist them in their efforts to achieve economic self-sufficiency” An easy way the public can support them is by donating womens clothing and accessories, so that these women can be outfitted for job interviews, meetings, etc.    I reached out to them and they are good on clothes for the most part, but need  HAND BAGS, SHOES and ACCSESORIES . I have placed big plastic tubs at all 3 clinic locations , please bring home any unwanted bags/shoes/other accessories that you (or your partner) would like to donate!   I will be donating these items  on Saturday March 13 th .   Let me know if you have any questions!   https://denver.dressforsuccess.org/   Beth Buehrer (text me with any questions, 319-464-693...
