Please use telephone encounters rather than staff messages to schedule patients for hospital follow-up messages. This shows that we are actively trying to make sure patients have close follow-up. Please put the reason for hospitalization and whether or not it should be a 40-minute appointment in the TE as well.
Patients showing up late, past their 10 minute grace period. There is different verbiage used at 144th as to what they say to patients who come in late. If a patient scheduled after the late patient shows up early, room them first. Let the late patient know that they may need to wait. The point of coming in before their appointment time is so that they can be in the room at their appointment time, rather than waiting.
