·      New clinic/pod issues to discuss – Can discuss any relevant issues from Clinic Update Email as well

·         Immunization orders - Improving our process to avoid vaccine errors

·         All CIIS forms must be signed and dated by the provider and the MA before a vaccine is given.

·         Providers must always place the vaccine order before the vaccines are given

·         All pods and precepting areas will have copies of current IZ schedules

·         Use "Pediatric Immunizations by Age" SmartSet or Express Lane "General Immunizations" SmartSet - makes it much easier!

·         Provider should document the vaccines to be given in the note if the vaccines are being ordered for a future date.

·         Interns must also have the preceptor sign and date the CIIS form that indicates which vaccines are to be given.

·         In addition to signing and dating the CIIS form, the MA must document the patient’s insurance on the form and place the vaccine stickers on the form.   Polio is an exception to this rule.   The patient’s demographic sheet must be attached to the CIIS form after scanning and the completed form must be placed in the designated area for the VFC vaccine coordinator to review.

·         Clinic Teambuilding Event for all 3 clinics!- Coming August 29th from 4-6pm, will be offsite with dinner, clinic closing earlier, watch for more info!
