Guatemala:

Celas Maya (Spanish school in Guatemala used by Gen Ochs’ med school.  “They are FANTASTIC and do online classes as well”)

San Pedro Spanish School http://www.sanpedrospanishschool.org (recommended by Lawrence FM Residency)

Pop Wuj (pop-wuj.org) is an excellent Spanish school in Xela, Guatemala where Laura and Sarah Liegl both studied.  Approx $315 per week, includes 4 hours 1-on-1 tutoring in Spanish per day, home stay with three meals a day, and clinical experience

Costa Rica:

CPI Spanish Immersion School http://www.cpi-edu.com (recommended by Lawrence FM Residency)

 

TV/Video:

TV: actually a really great resource for learning Spanish! highly recommend putting the Spanish closed captioning if you can

HBO: Los Espookys (if you have a subscription, this show is awesome and in Spanish, Fred Armisen is in it)

Netflix: there are a bunch of movies and shows in Spanish. the show Explained (En pocas palabras is the title in Spanish) is a docuseries that is interesting and translated already

 

Music:  

There are some Spanish-language artists who are easy to understand (from Gen Ochs)
