Metrics for 3 Clinics

Breast and Colon cancer screenings - PCP is responsible even if they haven't seen the patient themselves.  Reminder to bring it up even if we are seeing patients for other issues.  We can help each other out, always most effective to address in person!

 

Omicron Booster Update - Rachael

Monovalent just for primary series NOT booster

Bivalent is for all boosters - safety incident at 144th

Masking and Testing update – Beth

Masking –

Centura corporate communication 10/26, community transmission rates.  Centura wants to be consistent across the system and many areas still have high transmission rates. May change in coming months.

Some patients will disagree – Reminder that we also wear masks to protect others.  Can coach on inappropriate behavior, should not be tolerated.

Testing –

Centura is switching to Antigen testing hospital and outpatient - better test for current contagious infection (PCR can stay positive past infectivity) and much more cost effective.   Using up current supply of Abbott ID Now. (Can still get flu, RSV, strep)
