Pap ordering in Epic – Can use universal order (automatic reflexing), has been working well so far.  Other specific orders will also work but this one reflexes based on age to guideline recs:

                                                IGP, Aptima HPV, CtNg Age Gdln

 

Referrals to Women’s Health  – Make sure women in pap screening age range have an up-to-date pap done/recorded in Healthcare Maintenance before referring them! 

 

 

Epic waiting list for appointments – Patients can be placed on a waiting list for a given day, will get a text if an appt opens, they can then take the offered spot.

 

 

Medication lists for patients – We can give patients the printed copy of their med list to keep in their wallet.  Their med list also prints on their AVS.

-This idea came from last week’s M and M analysis to encourage pts to have an updated med list with them

 

 

Progenity ordering – Email was sent to all providers by Dr. Harrington with guidelines on this, attached again to this update. 

Please refer to that and ask her if you have any questions.

 

 

Toxassure Update –The “Toxassure Select” order does not currently appear in the Epic orders – it can be manually entered by the Lab tech and will come back by fax. 

Labcorp is working to get this added back to Epic. “Toxassure Comprehensive” is still available.  See last month’s clinic update for more info on the two tests, both are urine drug screens.

RE: September Book Club 9/10
