Movie Discussion night for Diversity Book Group this Thursday 8/13 - Anthem Park

Hi All!

This is a reminder and info about the meeting for the Diversity/Equity/Inclusion Book/Movie Group!!

It's not too late to RSVP if you didn't before – just let me know!  Open to everyone, even if you didn't make it last time 😊

All are welcome, especially our wonderful staff!

 

When: This Thursday 8/13 at 5:30pm after didactics

 

 

What:  Discussion of the documentary movie "13th". 

We will not be watching the movie, just discussing it.  You can watch it on Netflix or here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krfcq5pF8u8  before you come.  If you don't have time to watch the movie, come anyway for the discussion!

 

Pizza will be provided.  Bring your own drink and a lawn chair.  If you'd also like to bring a snack or dessert to share, feel free!

The distance between St. Anthony's and the park is 4.43 miles or 9 min

 

 

Park Directions: I would advise going the route of Huron to 160th, then left on Sheridan Pkwy.

  The entrance to the park is only accessible from the right-hand side of the road,

   so it is much easier to enter heading west.

RE: September Book Club 9/10

  Hello!   So, this week is looking a bit chilly.  To make sure to enjoy the outdoors before it gets cold and we have to zoom all winter, I think we should move book club to Thursday, 9/17.  I hope everyone can still make it (and, you have an extra week to read the book!)    As a reminder, we will be discussing So You Want to Talk About Race - Ijeowa Ilua.      You have some more time to vote on location/food; please let me know if you haven’t voted yet, or would like to change your vote.   Anthem Park, just north of the hospital (where we had the last book club), with food from Ras Kassa’s Ethiopian restaurant in Lafayette.
