RE: September Book Club 9/17

By popular demand (and vote), Book Club will be at the Town Center Park in Green Valley Ranch (close to African Grill and Bar).  Lets plan to meet at the south side of the park, close to the parking lot and Green Valley Ranch Recreation Center.  Please bring chairs and drinks if you desire.  As this is a little farther from the hospital, let’s plan to meet between 5:30 and 6:00, whenever you can make it. 

 

Since the date has changed and location is now set, please respond again to this email to let me know if you can attend, so I have a rough idea of food amounts.  I will definitely get vegetarian food, but please also let me know if you have an interest in any of the following meats: chicken, beef, oxtail, lamb, goat.

RE: September Book Club 9/10

  Hello!   So, this week is looking a bit chilly.  To make sure to enjoy the outdoors before it gets cold and we have to zoom all winter, I think we should move book club to Thursday, 9/17.  I hope everyone can still make it (and, you have an extra week to read the book!)    As a reminder, we will be discussing So You Want to Talk About Race - Ijeowa Ilua.      You have some more time to vote on location/food; please let me know if you haven’t voted yet, or would like to change your vote.   Anthem Park, just north of the hospital (where we had the last book club), with food from Ras Kassa’s Ethiopian restaurant in Lafayette.
