September Book Club 9/10

Hello!

 

Just a reminder that our next book club is Thursday, September 10th.  We will be discussing So You Want to Talk About Race - Ijeowa Ilua.  Please still consider coming even if you don’t finish the book!

 

At our last meeting we discussed supporting Black-owned businesses as one of our goals.  I would like to bring food from a Black-owned restaurant to our next meeting.   

 

Please respond to this email if you are planning to come, and vote on one of the following options for location/food:

 

  1. Anthem Park, just north of the hospital (where we had the last book club), with food from Ras Kassa’s Ethiopian restaurant in Lafayette.
  2. Green Valley Ranch town center park (in Northeast Denver), with food from African Grill and Bar (West African/Ghanian/Nigerian food).
